As a finance student at Brigham Young University, Tyler Vongsawad searched for an organization he could be a part of that would allow him to help clients acheive and maintain financial security.  Because financial security is a lifetime goal Tyler realized he needed to represent a company that had a long history of meeting the needs of their clients.  In talking to several financial professionals, Tyler Vongsawad came across the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.  Tyler was impressed the company maintained the best possible insurance financial strength ratings*, had been in business since 1857, and was voted one of the top 50 "World’s Most Admired" companies according to industry experts and analysts in FORTUNE® magazine’s 2009 annual survey, dated March 16, 2009. (see http://www.northwesternmutual.com/about-northwestern-mutual/our-company/default.aspx).

Tyler Vongsawad started his internship in March of 2005.  Throughout the following year Tyler worked hard and found success.  He was invited to the Home Office for an in-depth training where they held a Winter Camp for the Top 75 interns.  Shortly thereafter he became the BYU Team Captain and led the team to take 1st place in the national College Team competition, and he personally finished 4th in the national College Agent competition, both competitions were based on production within Northwestern Mutual.

After graduating from BYU in April 2006, Tyler Vongsawad signed a full-time contract with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.  He continued his education, specializing in industry specific knowledge by completing the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), and CFP(R) (Certified Financial Planner TM) Designations, and becoming a Financial Advisor. 

Shortly after completing his first full-time year, Tyler Vongsawad was asked to join the Leadership Team and become the College Unit Director, where he supervised the training and development of the interns.  In 2009 Tyler finished as the top Financial Representative in his peer group for overall production and the top College Unit Director for the state of Utah.  In 2010 he finished 8th in a nationwide competition of College Unit Directors.  He now currently serves as Field Director, training and developing the new full-time financial representatives.

Tyler focuses on helping his clients achieve and maintain financial security by merging their goals with his expertise and Northwestern Mutual's products and services.
